Angelica dahurica

Angelica dahurica is a tall perennial herb belonging to the genus Angelica of the Apiaceae family. Its roots are cylindrical, and the base of the stem is usually purple. The basal leaves are once pinnately divided. The leaf outline is ovate to triangular, and the lower part is a sac-like, swollen membranous leaf sheath, often purplish. The terminal fissures are oblong, ovate or linear-lanceolate. The compound umbellate inflorescence is terminal or lateral, with short rough hairs on the peduncle, corymbose and pedicel. The involucral bracts are usually absent or have 1-2, growing ovate and swollen sheaths. The small involucre bracts are linear-lanceolate. The fruit is oblong to ovate, yellowish-brown, and sometimes purplish.
