Mugwort oil:There are so many benefits. Which ones do you know?

Chinese name: Mugwort oil

Alternative names: Xiang Ai,  Ai xiao, ai hao

Family and genus: Artemisia, Compositae family

Color: Light yellowish green to light yellow transparent and clear liquid

Smell: It has the unique aroma of mugwort

Origin: It is widely distributed, almost throughout the country except for extremely arid and high-cold regions.

Main components: Prapenol-4 and A-terpene prapenol

Preparation: It is the leaf of Artemisia argyi, a plant of the Compositae family. It is harvested before the flowers bloom in summer, impurities are removed and it is dried in the sun, and then extracted by steam distillation.

 

Application and Field

Mugwort has a special fragrance, which has the effect of repelling mosquitoes. Therefore, ancient people often hung mugwort in front of their doors, not only to ward off evil spirits but also to drive away mosquitoes. It can now be used for indoor disinfection, especially during the flu season, and the air can be purified by smoking. It is also used for adding cosmetics and personal care products, etc.

Daily usage

1.You can apply an appropriate amount of essential oil to the shoulders, neck and lower abdomen, and gently massage the body to relax.

2.Add 2 to 3 drops of mugwort leaf oil and water, turn on the machine and steam for 30 minutes to purify the air and inhibit bacteria.

3.Mugwort leaf oil should not come into direct contact with the skin. It is necessary to dilute it with base oil (such as sweet almond oil or jojoba oil) or skin care products and apply it to the scalp, then gently massage. Care should be done 1-2 times a week.

Note: Store in a dark, sealed container in a cool place, away from children and fire sources, and avoid high temperatures that may cause evaporation and failure
